義隆電子股份有限公司於1994年5月成立，公司總部位於臺灣新竹科學園區，是一家專業晶片研發及模組化解決方案的積體電路設計公司，分別在歐、美、亞等三大洲佈建綿密的行銷通路暨技術服務中心，其中，在臺灣的台北縣中和設立模組工廠、台南成立晶片設計中心，在深圳、上海、香港、美國等地，則分別有客戶服務和策略運籌等營業中心，經過多年的發展，目前資本額已達新台幣41.07億元，並於2001年9月掛牌上市。 義隆電子的營運內容，主要是研發和行銷積體電路(IC)產品，以及生產多手指觸控模組（Touch Pad module）、指向裝置（Pointing Stick）產品為主，產品線包含：Microcontroller、Communication IC、PC Peripheral IC、Audio/Video Entertainment IC (Consumer IC and Personal Equipment IC)、Capacitive Touch Pad Modules & IC、NB Input Device Module等，產品的應用領域十分廣泛，包括觸控板(Touch Pad)控制晶片及模組應用在筆記型電腦、手機、UMPC、MP3、GPS、PMP、滑鼠和鍵盤等，指向裝置（Pointing Stick）產品應用在筆記型電腦，並陸續不斷在開發各式消費性電子產品的應用，同時，提供Vista PC專用的遙控器晶片、而手寫辨識晶片則應用在手機、教育性玩具、稅控機、語言翻譯機、電子字典等；同Modern technology is making digital life ubiquitous.
